You Tube 3 Mix Project.

Blip Boutique was commissioned by You Tube Japan to create a visual series for the live online concert event TokyoLive.  BB, in collaboration with Sosolimited, created a program called 3MIX, which brought together elements of user generated video, live performance and real time video remixing.

The first part of the mix was generated by users who were given creative direction by Blip Boutique on a specially designated TokyoLive YouTube channel.  This YouTube user-generated content ranged from animations to homemade movies of the city streets of Tokyo.  The second part of the mix took place live at the venue, where the user generated footage was projected on stage, during the headlining artist Kreva's performance, as it was mixed in real time by the Soso limited crew.  Their incredible software created real time video effects, manipulating the UGC into patterns, shapes and warping graphics.  These visual filters, specially designed to reflect the music in Kreva's set, were also applied to a six camera feed of the live performance. The final stage of the 3MIX was a video edited by Blip Boutique and premiered on the Tokyo Live YouTube channel after the show, incorporating all of the footage created in the live visual performance.

The project was a collaboration between Blip Boutique, Sosolimited and Tokyo-based Suitmen.
